Warranty Information

Thank you for your interest in Genus. Genus products all carry a statutory warranty which assures that the product is fit for use and covered against any manufacturing defects. Genus warrants to the original purchaser that for the duration of the one year warranty period, all Genus products will be free of faults arising from defects in design, workmanship or materials, on the terms and conditions set out in this document.

  1. Only products bought from an authorized dealer or distributor.
  2. Genus means Genus Limited of 111 Queens Road West, Seung Wan, Hong Kong.
  3. Genus Products means products manufactured by Genus at its factory.
  4. Material means a material or component used by Genus in the manufacture of Genus Products.
  5. Warranty Period means a period of 12 months from the date of shipment of Genus Products.
  6. Workmanship means the handling, assembly and manufacturing processes performed by Genus in order to manufacture Genus Products.

This warranty does not cover any defects or costs caused by:

- modification, alteration, repair or service of this product by anyone other than Genus or an authorized distributor or dealer;
- physical abuse to, overload of, or misuse of, the product or operation thereof in a manner contrary to the instructions accompanying the product;
- any use of the product other than that for which it was designed;
- shipment of the product to Manfrotto Distribution, US or Genus for service;
- failure to comply with care and maintenance instructions accompanying the product.

To obtain warranty service in the United States, the purchaser should return the product or the defective part(s), carefully packed and with proof of purchase date to: Manfrotto Distribution, US or to the shop/store where the product was purchased. All shipping expenses are the purchaser's responsibility.

Unless local law in the country, state or region of purchase dictates otherwise, Manfrotto Distribution, US will under no circumstances be liable for any special incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, personal injury, property damage, damage to or loss of equipment, lost profits or revenue, costs of renting replacements and other additional expenses, even if Manfrotto has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
